Wendy Cobb
Wendy Cobb started her career in catering in 1980 at the very young age of 14. She continued to work through high school and college, and at the age of 21 she was offered a job as an assistant in the office detailing sales and events. Wendy handled many of the largest social events in Newport, claiming the Preservation Society as her biggest client. Wendy left in 2004 to join another catering service as the Director of Sales, where she garnered the top sales in the company.
There, Wendy found herself planning and executing many of Newport’s most talked about events, including numerous located at the Mansions and private estates in town. Her success earned her the General Manager position in 2006.
In 2010, Wendy decided it was time to open her own company and she, along with her sister, opened a small, successful catering company in Middletown, RI. In addition to her role as a lead event planner and coordinator, she played a key role in managing the kitchen and producing their menus. In an effort to spend more time with their family and find better balance, the sisters decided it was time to pursue other adventures.
We are excited to have Wendy bring her passion for the business along with her knowledge and expertise to Glorious Affairs.
